Better Than Zillow.
Built by Me.
I built more than a dozen custom property searches on AmityRoseProperties.com — by neighborhood, by architectural style, by use case. Live MLS data, no junk listings, no pop-up agents fighting for your zip code. Here’s how to actually use them.
Zillow shows you everything. I show you what matters.
Most buyers I talk to start on Zillow. That’s fine — it’s where the data is. But Zillow’s job is to keep you on Zillow and sell your contact info to whichever agent paid for your zip code today. My job is the opposite: help you find the right property, faster.
So I built a set of curated searches on the website. Every one of them pulls live MLS data, refreshes throughout the day, and filters out the noise. Whether you’re looking for a Victorian in Hyattsville, a midcentury modern in Bethesda, a multi-family in DC, or just want to keep an eye on Riverdale Park — there’s a search for that.
Search by place. Search by style. Search by use case. Or draw your own line on a map.
Search by Place
If you know roughly where you want to live, start here. Every one of these is a live, daily-refreshed search of every active listing in that area.
Search by Architectural Style
If you’re a style-first buyer — the kind of person who scrolls past a perfect floor plan because the elevation hits wrong — these are for you. I keep separate searches for the style categories I get asked about most.
Search by Use Case
Some buyers don’t care where or what style — they care what the building does. ADU for an aging parent? Storefront for a side hustle? Two doors for two generations? These searches surface the properties that fit the use, not just the address.
Draw Your Own Lines
If your search is geographic in a way no city boundary captures — "within walking distance of Hyattsville Crossing Metro," "anywhere east of Rock Creek Park but south of Walter Reed," "the school district my niece is in" — the Map Search tool lets you draw your own polygon on the map and pull every active listing inside it.
You can also use the standard map filters (price, beds, baths, square footage) and stack them with your custom shape. It’s the closest thing to "I want what I want, exactly where I want it" that the MLS allows.
Save the Search — Get Daily Alerts
Any of the searches above can be saved to your free account on the site. Once it’s saved, you get an email whenever a new listing hits that fits your criteria — usually before it shows up on Zillow. Here’s the quick version:
-
Open the search you like
Pick any of the curated searches above — or build your own using the map and filters.
-
Tweak the filters to your spec
Adjust price, beds, baths, square footage, and any other criteria that matter to you. The URL updates as you filter, so the saved version remembers your exact view.
-
Click "Save Search" (or "Save Listing")
You’ll be prompted to create a free account if you’re not signed in. No credit card, no commitment. Just an email and a password.
-
Choose your alert frequency
Daily is the default and usually right. You can also save individual listings to a "favorites" list and revisit them anytime.
-
Watch your inbox
New listings matching your search land in your inbox automatically. You see them before most buyers do.
Why This Beats the Big Portals
Same MLS Data
You’re looking at the same live BRIGHT MLS feed the big sites use. Same listings, often faster. Sometimes I see new homes in my alerts hours before they show up on Zillow.
None of the Noise
No pop-ups, no "Zestimate" guesses, no random agents claiming your zip code. Just listings, your saved searches, and your favorites.
One Agent. The Right One.
If you reach out about a property, you reach me — not whoever paid for that lead today. I know the corridor. I’ll tell you the truth about each house.
When a Saved Search Isn’t Enough
Custom searches are great for the "where" and the "what." But there’s always a "why" that the MLS can’t capture — the layout that’ll actually work for your kid, the block whose neighbors will become your people, the historic district whose rules you should know before you buy.
That’s where a 15-minute conversation does more than a year of scrolling. If you’re close to ready, or you just want to be smarter about what you’re looking at, reach out. The first conversation is free.

If you’re hunting for something specific I haven’t built a search for — a particular school district, an unusual feature, a side-of-the-tracks preference — tell me. I’ll either set it up for you or build a permanent one for everybody.
